SIGNS POINTING TO THE END 3

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.
PEOPLE WILL LOVE THEMSELVES

Does this make you think of the world around us. People certainly seem to love themselves a lot these days. We hear a lot about low self esteem but we don't talk much about people who esteem themselves too highly.
In today's society we seem to have a lot of people with the traits that the above scripture mentions. Covetousness is one thing that has caused the economic crisis our country is in. People wanting what does not belong to them and taking it from unsuspecting investors has ruined many financially. People wanting a bigger house and finer automobile than they can afford have caused them to lose everything. That is being covetous.
Many of our elected leaders fall into the category of boasting and being proud. Many will never admit their mistakes and wrongdoings but.... they keep getting elected term after term.
The disobedient to parents part is very evident in today's society. If I had talked to my parents when I was a child the way I hear children talk to their parents I would still be eating standing up.
Unholiness and unthankfulness are commonplace. We live in a time when people feel they should be able to do anything they want to and that they are entitled to anything they want.
All of this sounds very much to me like we just might be in the latter days. Are you ready for Jesus to come?
