KNOCKING ON THE DOOR 4

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

HAVE WE SHUT THE DOOR OF OUR HOMES TO JESUS

A little boy noticed a large book on the top shelf of the bookshelf and asked his mother, "What is that big book up there?"
His mother answered, "Why that is the Bible. It is God's book."
The little boy looked thoughtful and said, "Then shouldn't we give it back to God. We don't ever read it?"

This would be humorous if it wasn't so close to the truth in many homes. Look at the things we do allow into our homes. We have television, Internet, videos, books and magazines of all kinds.
While these things are not all bad (at least you shouldn't allow the bad stuff in at all) they take up much of our time.

Families should have a time together to pray and to discuss their relationship with God. We can not expect our children to have a great relationship with Jesus if we fail to make Him a major part of our home life.

Is Jesus knocking on the door to your home? He will only come in where He is welcome. He will not break your door down.
