REBUILDING IS NOT EASY

Nehemiah 4:6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

You may not believe it but rebuilding is sometimes much harder than starting new. Even when you start new to build something there is often a lot of work that goes into just preparing to get started.
You would think having land and putting a Mobile home on it would be automatic and easy. When my wife and I bought the land that we live on now it was thick with trees and underbrush. We started to clean it up with a pair of limb loppers and a kaiser blade. It was slow work. We eventually got a space cleared out just big enough to park a mobile home.
When I think how much work we did I still realize that if a disaster struck our home it would be even worse than what we started with. We would have to clean up the debris. We would have to move all the old stuff out of the way and then we would be back to where we were when we started the first time.
It is that way in our lives. Living the Christian life and walking in the spirit is not easy even when you start out as a new Christian. You have to work at it and put forth some effort. Idealistically you should grow and become stronger and the Christian walk should become more automatic. Realistically though you will face life's storms and you will be shaken and you will receive damage.
It is then that you have to clean up. You might even have to repair some damage that you have done to others. It is not easy but it can be done if you trust God and allow Him to help you.
