ENEMIES OF REBUILDING

Nehemiah 4:2-3 And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? (3) Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.

One of the things I have noticed are the people that are a hindrance to rebuilding after a catastrophe. There have been reports on the news that people are looting the tornado victims. It is hard for me to comprehend how someone could further injure someone who has practically lost everything in the first place.
There are others who stand in line for help when they haven't really received any damage. They are taking from the ones who really need help. As long as man is in the world there will be sin in the world and there will be people doing evil things. We just have to trust that God will settle up with them some day.
When you are going through a time of spiritual building or rebuilding you will also face similar hindrances. You will find people who will try to keep you down. You will find people who will tempt you and try to keep you from growing. As we see more and more you will find people who will actually attack you because of your Christian faith.
As we strive to build spiritually we must keep our minds on the task and hand and not on the detractors. We must stay focused on God and allow Him to help us and strengthen us.
Don't let Satan and his crowd distract you. Just keep building and know that God is on your side.
