Be Still 2

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Luke 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Jesus was speaking of the later days, near the end when He will be returning. Does this sound familiar.  Worry, rush, work, rush, hurry here and hurry there.  People are continually running like something is chasing them, or they are chasing something.

If we are not going to some sort of activity or event we seem to be on the cell phone taking care of business or planning something.  Where is the down time. 

I have several hobbies that I find very productive and very relaxing. Sometimes I don't really even have to concentrate on what I am doing and it gives me time to meditate.  Be careful not to get so busy that you don't have time to sit, relax, be still and know that He is God.  It will be good for your heart.
