Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
GOD IS WITH US WHEN WE NEED TO MAKE LIFE'S DECISIONS
1 Kings 19:12-13 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
Sometimes as we make decisions in life we just do things on the spur of the moment. Sometimes we really want some guidance but we look for an answer from God in the wrong places..
We might want some spectacular sign like a fire or an earthquake (or an oil spill in the Gulf) but most of the time God speaks to us in that still small voice.
Sometimes I have been where I shouldn't have been and that still small voice would ask me, "What are you doing here?"
It could be a place where God is through with you there. It could be a place of indecision in your life. It could be that like Elijah you are having a little bit of a pity party yourself and you need to be asked, "What are you doing here?"
God is always with us. We sometimes just need be still and listen to that quiet voice giving us directions.
In closing this series remember, God is not only with us now, He will be with us eternally.
