Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
HE IS WITH US DURING TIMES OF PERSECUTION
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
IF YOU FOLLOW JESUS IT WILL COST YOU
When you decide to follow Jesus it might cost you some friends. A young Christian once remarked that he was afraid that living a life might cause him to have to give up some of his friends. A wise old preacher told him, "Don't worry. If you follow Jesus and they don't you won't have to give them up. They will give you up."
Following Jesus could cause you to be ridiculed, especially if you are a younger person and they don't think being Christian is the popular thing to do. Just remember that Jesus was ridiculed too, and He still gave His life for us.
Following Jesus might cause the world to give you a hard time but remember, you will not have to face it alone because Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. He will always be there with you.
