John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
When someone offers us something free we are often afraid there is a catch. We know that there is very little in this world that is free. There is a gift that is free and has no catch and it is not of this world.
God loves us enough that He sent His own Son, Jesus, to this world to save us from our sins. Everyone has sinned. No one is excluded.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Man can not pay for his own sins. "For the wages of sin is death." But there is more to that. "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Jesus came to pay our sin debt. In this way God opened the door of heaven for all who believe. He loved us enough to give us His Son for a much needed gift.
We all need salvation. There are many lost people who are seeking something better. That something is in Jesus Christ.
Rom. 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
