TAKE HEED 1

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (32) But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. (33) Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. (34) For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. (35) Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning (36) Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. (37) And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Introduction: I used these verses early in my Internet devotional ministry when I was using using the road signs for object lessons. I am revisiting the subject in more depth because I do believe that Christians in America have been lulled into sleep and are not watching as they should for the Lord's return.

News events seem to coincide with many of the things Jesus said would come to pass in the last days. No man knows the hour or the day and I suspect none know the year or even the decade in which Jesus will return. If you had asked me in 1990 if we would still be here in 2010 I would have not hesitated to tell you that I seriously doubted it. I would have been wrong as many have been wrong before who try to set a particular time line for the Lord's return.

Regardless of the time we are to be watching, we are to be ready and we are to be looking forward to His return. I hope you enjoy the next few devotionals. In the meantime take heed (be aware, be cautious). He is coming and it could be any day.

If you know of someone new to the Kosciusko area and would like for our church to visit them please let us know. Our prayers are that this devotional ministry will be an outreach to bring people into a closer relationship with Jesus. I do appreciate you taking the time to read these devotionals and please keep us in your prayers.
