THE RISEN LIFE 1

Eph 2:1-6 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins: (2) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: (3) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. (4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

INTRODUCTION:

Many today have the idea that Christianity is a dead or dying way of life and it might be because they are observing the actions of many professing Christians. Christianity is not merely a religion. It is a way of life. It is life in Jesus Christ.

Jesus did not stay hanging on the cross. He was placed in a tomb and he rose again to overcome death, hell and the grave. When we accept Him as our Lord and Savior we too are made alive in him.
I suppose many are just sleeping and maybe sleep walking in their daily life with Jesus. We are not to be like the walking dead but we are to be filled with life.

We are to sit in Heavenly places and experience the joy of a sweet relationship with God. It is sad that many are missing that joy and that fellowship because they are conforming to the ways of the world instead of to the ways of Jesus, who has made us very much alive in Him.

I hope the next few devotionals will give you some thought and inspiration to try to sit in Heavenly places with Jesus.
