THE RISEN LIFE 3

A LIFE OF VICTORY

2 Corinthians 4:6-10 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. {7} But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. {8} We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; {9} Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

If we were truly to start living the victorious Christian life that God would have us to live the world would look upon us with awe. They would be saying, "I want what they have!"
We might be troubled, but we shouldn't be distressed. Too many people want to be drama queens (or kings) when the least trouble enters their life. We should not let troubles overwhelm us and we certainly should not overwhelm those around us with our troubles. You and Jesus can handle anything this world throws at you.
We might be perplexed (puzzled) but we should never be desperate. Through prayer and the study of God's Word, the Bible, we have answers to everything situation. Usually what we are going to learn is "It's not about us." It is about God and His Son Jesus Christ. If we are more focused on Him we will be much less focused on our own situations.
We might be persecuted but God will never forsake us. No matter how you might be attacked for your faith, God will never leave you to face it alone. He will stand with you always and you and God are always a majority.
We might be cast down but no one can destroy us because we are always in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus. He will carry us to our eternal home and keep us forever.
There is great victory in Jesus if we will just claim it.
