FILL UP
Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
During an object lesson in a classroom one time the teacher asked the students to tell him or come up and show him the best way to get all the air out of a container. Some suggested a vacuum. Others thought of different ways to try to get the air out. Finally one student walked up and picked up a pitcher of water from the teachers desk and filled the glass to the brim with the water. The teacher applauded him and gave him an A for the class. The best way to get something out of a container is to fill it with something else.
We are to be filled with love for the Lord Jesus. When we fill our life with God's Spirit it doesn't leave much room for the world. We will squeeze out all the old sinful habits and all the old worldly ways if we are full of the love of Christ.
We as Christians need to fill up on God's Word until we really get to know Him. I promise you we can't get to know Him without learning to love Him.
