1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit. THE CHRISTIAN LIFESTYLE SHOULD BE ONE RESPONSIVE TO THE HOLY SPIRIT As Christians we should be responsive to the Holy Spirit. God does not usually speak to us in great miracles or earth shattering events but with the still small voice. We need to let the Spirit guide us daily and not just on Sunday morning. Sometimes God will convict us that something is wrong and we quench the spirit to satisfy the flesh. We are to do just the opposite. We are to crucify the flesh and follow the leadership of the Spirit. It is through the leadership of the Holy Spirit that we are able to study, to worship, to witness and thereby glorify the Father and the Son. The Christian lifestyle is one that will be led by the Holy Spirit.
