CLANKING SPEACH

by Jeremy Burkes

I Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal

When we were kids we used to say "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me". That is not always true. Sometimes words can hurt worse than getting hit with sticks or stones.

Words can also be used to help someone. We as Christians need to realize that what we say can be the very thing that someone needs to hear or it could be the thing that could end a friendship forever. Before we give advice or say anything critical we should ask God to give us the right words to say, and ask Him to help us say it in the right way.

Be sure and ask God to give you wisdom in your words when you are dealing with friends and family. Whatever your words they should always be spoken in love.
