Everyone likes to be on the winning side. It just isn't human nature for people to want to lose. I remember when I was young we had some exceptional atheletes and when sides were being chosen for games at recess a couple of the better ones would always get to choose teams. Needless to say the best atheletes were chosen first and all the rest of us could hope for would be to get picked by the best team, (and hopefully not last).
I am sometimes amazed that people in their spiritual life settle for being on the losing side. They don't realize that God has already chosen us to serve Him. He wants us on His team and I promise you He is not going to lose. The outcome is already settled.
If we are willing to make a committment to serve Him, we will always be on the side of victory. Who could defeat us if God is on our side?
