LOOKING AT CHRISTMAS 4

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ from the dead,

CHRISTMAS MAKES US LOOK AT THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF CHRIST
I can't celebrate Christmas and the birth Christ without also thinking about the death of our Lord.  I can't picture Him in the manger without picturing Him also on the cross.
His birth was the greatest gift man has ever received but it was not paid for until He made the ultimate sacrifice on that cross over thirty years later.
Still, on a more pleasant note, I can't think about the death of Jesus without knowing in my heart that death could not keep Him.  He was resurrected and is alive.  He is alive now, never to die again.  In His death and resurrection He gained victory over the grave, over death, and over hell for all who will believe in Him.
He is alive now, and forever more.
