Our Responsibility 16

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO KNOW ABOUT SOWING AND REAPING

Ga 6:7-8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (8) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

AS WE GROW OLDER WE EXPERIENCE THE RESULTS OF WHAT WAS DONE IN THE PAST

I sometimes say that "If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself when I was younger." I say this as a joke but there is a lot of truth to it. Many of us have physical problems because of the foolish choices we made when we were young.

It saddens me to see young people today who are making choices that we know they will regret some day. They have not learned the lessons of sowing and reaping.

Physical problems are not the only seeds that produce trouble later in our lives. Sowing the seeds of sin can cause truly serious emotional and spiritual problems as we grow older. It is true that God is faithful to forgive us from our sins but sometimes the wounds of sin leave terrible scars that we have to live with all of our life.
