Luke 21:25-26 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (26) Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
INTRODUCTION: Jesus told us that no man would know the hour or the day that He would return but that we should be aware of the signs leading up to His return and be ready. In the next few devotionals I want to briefly discuss some of the things Jesus said would come to pass shortly before His return.
Sometimes we are so focused on the world around us that we miss the fact that all of this is temporary. Someday there will be a new heaven and a new earth and that will be our home.
Paul wrote about many of these things in his letters to Timothy and I will be using some of those scriptures in these devotionals. The purpose is not to try to predict a day or a time that Jesus will return but to make us take a look at the world surrounding us and compare it with the things the Bible said would come to pass in the latter days. I hope you receive a blessing and become more aware of the fact that Jesus could return at any time. Are you ready?
