1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
THE PRIDE OF LIFE
People in our time seem to want to be a part of something bigger than themselves and their own little world. Kids want to be popular with everyone. People try to impress their co-workers. No one wants to be left out for any reason. Everyone wants to be somebody special.
It is only when we realize how small we are and how big God is that we can be used by God. If we are not careful we can become involved in things we have no business being associated with.
Satan will try to tell us, as he did Adam and Eve, that we can make our own decisions better than God can. That is Satan's lie. God only wants what is best for us. God wants us to have an abundant life and not just go through the motions. He wants us to live the life He has given us to the fullest. We can do that by loving Him, honoring Him, trusting Him, and being obedient to Him.
Give God control of your life and you will certainly find fulfillment.
