Heb 4:12-13 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (13) Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
WE ARE CONVICTED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
When the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, He not only convicts us that what we are doing is sin but He convicts us of the seriousness of sin. It is much more than our conscience bothering us.
When the Holy Spirit convicts us we realize just how guilty we are and how hopeless the situation is for us. The Holy Spirit will always guide us to Jesus as the only hope for our sinful condition.
